Abortion records still not in hands of grand jury

WICHITA, Kan. | The judge overseeing the grand jury investigating abortion provider George Tiller says jurors have yet to see any medical records subpoenaed from the doctor.

Judge Paul Buchanan says that an independent doctor and lawyer reviewing records have gotten fewer than 20 redacted medical files so far from Tiller in the first installment.

The two experts will review the material before it goes the grand jury. Buchanan says he expects to eventually receive a sampling of between 160 and 170 redacted files.
