Records dispute delays case against clinic
A criminal case against a suburban Kansas City abortion clinic will be delayed almost two months because of a legal dispute over patients' medical records.
A Johnson County judge Wednesday postponed a preliminary hearing in the case from next week until July 21-22. The hearing would determine whether District Attorney Phill Kline's case will go to trial.
Kline has filed 107 charges against Comprehensive Health, operated by Planned Parenthood in Overland Park. He alleges that it falsified records and performed illegal late-term abortions, which it denies.
