Another Black Pro-Life Leader Says "Abortion Man" Video Upsetting
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Dr. Alveda King, Pastoral Associate of Priests for Life and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., today decried the WayoutTV.com video, “Abortion Man,” now being broadcast on the Internet. The video, an apparent attempt at dark humor, portrays a caped, flying “Abortion Man” who attacks a young pregnant woman until she loses her child, all at the behest of the baby’s father. “Abortion Man just comes off as horrifying in its treatment of the innocent and degrading in its treatment of blacks,” said Dr. King. “As callous and unconcerned as Abortion Man is for women and babies, though, I found him little different from the abortion industry itself. If any man wants his pregnant girlfriend to abort, an abortion business will be there to help him get rid of his child. Basically, the abortion industry is Abortion Man without the cape and with less overtly offensive methods.” “I understand that there’s a fine line between dark comedy and plain old offensive material,” added Dr. King, “but wherever that line is, it’s somewhere way in the distance of Abortion Man’s rear view mirror. I’m convinced, though, that if the makers of this video had heard the stories I’ve heard of women coerced into abortions, they never would have tried to find humor in such gruesome situations. If the Abortion Man producers ever want to stimulate dialogue and find solutions for the horrors of abortion against the human race, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with them.”
Investment Guru Warren Buffet Sees Pro-Life Message at Stockholder's Mtg
Omaha, NE (LifeNews.com) -- Warren Buffett's investment company, Berkshire Hathaway, held its annual stockholders meeting earlier this month. Known as the "sugar daddy" to the abortion industry, Warren Buffett is the largest financial contributor to abortion in the world. On hand to greet the over 30,000 in attendance were pro-life activists with Rescue The Heartland and Operation Rescue. The group drove two trucks around the meeting site with pro-life messages to counter ones Buffet paid for promoting himself. Although most in attendance were die hard Buffett supporters who could care less about the lives of innocent pre-born children, there were a number of positive encounters. One man, for example, said he was a Catholic and had no idea of Buffett's abortion philanthropy. He said he was going to sell his stock first thing Monday morning because of it. Due to public pressure, on July 3, 2007, Berkshire Hathaway announced that it was ending all corporate charitable donations. However, through his Buffett Foundation, Buffett supports the most radical aspects of the population control movement such as providing $2 million to fund clinical trials of Mifepristone (RU-486). Buffett also provided $2 million to Family Health International for the distribution of quinacrine hydrochloride, a chemical that sterilizes a woman by burning her fallopian tubes. Quinacrine is illegal in the U.S., but is used, often coercively, in Vietnam, India, and other nations. In the late 1990s, Buffett committed to a $20 million grant to International Projects Assistance Services (IPAS), which manufactures and distributes manual vacuum aspirators, used for performing abortions in impoverished countries.
